Indication

· For the treatment of herpes zoster and ophthalmic zoster in immunocompetent adults.
· recurrent outbreaks of genital herpes caused by HSV and to prevent outbreaks from reoccurring (called chronic suppressive therapy).
· shingles (also known as herpes zoster) caused by VZV
